Had chest tightness on exertion, breathless. I had an angiogram with possibility of stent as a CT showed LAD was getting blocked. Turns out CTwas inaccurate and LAD is fine, mild furring. I have been referred for an echo, report shows LvSD. Left ventricular systolic dysfunction, echo to verify. Anyone know this?

left ventricular systolic dysfunction
Hello there...I was diagnosed with LVSD with an EF 25 four years ago after experiencing palpitations and under going an Echocardiogram. I was devastated. I am now taking Dapagliflozin, Spironolactone, Nebivolol and Perindopril. My EF has improved to 41 and I'm feeling ok...I have not so good days but on the whole I'm good. Hope this helps...take care 😊
I have left ventricular systolic dysfunction with heart function, EF 23%. They call it heart failure.
Until you have the echo none of us knows what left ventricular systolic dysfunction will mean for you.
You can be told you have heart failure if your heart is functioning at below 50% I think it starts. After that it’s graded at stages 1-4 I think. After you have the echo you should find out what’s going on. Try not to worry too much. I know it’s easier said. But as you see my function is low but I’m still here. There are good meds out there now.
I was diagnosed 20 yrs ago I have dilated cardiomyopathy. Let us know how you get on.
All the best.
