dear all so nice to read the contributions and so helpful they are Not sure if my experience is similar or different to others but some two months after having 2 stents in I am occasionally experiencing quite painful discomfort in my neck. Lower front. I have no chest pain but bit of ache in upper left arm when that happens. Tends only to happen after some physical exertion and just for 5-6 mins then subsides. Wonder if it’s anything to worry about ? Should I refer back to my cardio doctor? I am otherwise feeling fine. Even walking with 18 hole golf. But the lower neck pain is not pleaseant when it occurrs so really wonder if I may have a real problem here?

post stent neck pain
if you’re fairly sure that this is exercise induced then yes, you ought to report to your medical team so that they can make further investigations
Hiya, I have this too. It started in the weeks after the stent for me. I started with a pain in the front/side of my neck, that would get worse if I exercised/got emotional. At one point it was almost always there, just to different degrees of pain or discomfort.
To rule out non-cardiac reasons for the pain, the GP urgently referred me for an ENT endoscopy and an ultrasound. I have some narrowing in one of my neck arteries but other than that, I'm all clear.
3 months on I don't have the pain constantly and I now use my GTN when I get the neck pain and it helps. So at the moment, I've decided (based on total anecdotal evidence and no-medical experience!), that it could be referred pain from angina. Might not be though, who knows!
You should definitely get it checked out by the GP to see if they can help you work it out.
Thanks for that input. That sounds quite logical to me ,but here in Hong Kong they seem to this its more of a stomach acid/reflux issue (but nonetheless maybe indirectly related to the stent procedure and multiple drugs ) .For safety having a CT Scan tommorrow to check on the stents and fingers crossed they are in tip top shape and enjoying their new home 🤞
