Life Insurance- ILR/Heart Block

Hello,

I know this question has been asked often on the forum, however the search function isn’t currently working for me so I thought I’d ask again!

I am really struggling to get Life Insurance, I am 29 and because I have a Loop Recorder no one wants to cover me! I was told I have Heart Block Type 2 (Mobitz) however I have not had a recorded event of this since a 7 day ECG I had in September 2022. I have had my ILR since Jan 2023 and have had no events recorded other than Ventricular Ectopics.

Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on who I could try? Zurich have told me they won’t consider my application until I’ve had my ILR removed (which may not be for another 2-3 years!)

Thanks in advance.

I have recommended these people a number of times but had no feedback which is rather dissapomting. Please let me know how you get on. Thanks.

Hi, just wanted to let you know I have had no such luck. I only had two providers who considered looking into cover for me. One of which the underwriters declined once they had copies of my hospital letters (they said they would reconsider once my loop recorder was removed) and the other provider offered me a 10 year term, with an extremely high premium.

10 years would’ve obviously been pointless due to my young age.
