Perspiring profusely

Does anybody else suffer with profuse sweating and dull pain in the chest. I started my heart journey in Spain needing stents fitted one year later I was rushed into hospital again with a heart attack where one of my stents in the LAD failed and caused a blood clot. I then moved back to UK as my understanding of Spanish was not great.

When I attended the hospital in Wales they found I needed another stent in my right artery 4 stents included the one that failed. This was all in 2017 and 2018. I have had 5 angiograms including the angioplasty and my consultant doesn’t want to do anymore for a while as my arteries are not very good. To cut a long story short the past 3/4 months I have been suffering with profuse sweating with this uncomfortable pain in my chest. I am more breathless than usual. I am also feeling extremely weak and tired. I had a cardiac CT scan last year which they found nothing much to worry about. I’m not sure if it’s anything to concern a dr with.

Sorry it’s such a long post but I feel there are people worse off than me and I don’t like to make a fuss. I am on all the usual drugs too long to list in fear of boring you all.

Hi Joan,

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having some worrisome couple of months.

I would speak to your GP or cardiologist as soon as possible. Your symptoms sound like you need some type of medical intervention and seems you have delayed it a little already.

Failing that you can’t get an appointment to see a GP or your cardiologist, try 111. If you ever experience chest pain which is particularly concerning to you, do not hesitate to call 999.

I have no experience with stents but I just wanted to add the above and also state that you’re not making a fuss!

Best wishes and keep us posted.

Thank you for your reply Tos92. I keep thinking it will pass (as many of us do) but I think I will try my Dr first or my cardiac nurse. I will keep you updated on any results I get.

I note your post was written 18hrs ago. If you are still hesitating, please call 111 if you are still not happy to call an ambulance.

Its not a fuss…. Its what emergency services are here for!

These days "Not liking to make a fuss" gets you absolutely nowhere. You MUST. Insist on seeing a GP in person and get it investigated. Delays are massive now so you have to push and push for treatment. My friends feel like you about fussing and the husband waited 2 years for a very urgent pacemaker. 2 years of life wasted at 87 years old is a lot. Now it's been done he's a new person.
