My husband had an ICD fitted in January after having his heart attack two years ago, but during the last week he said he's experiencing "flutters". He thinks he may be paranoid and looking for things that aren't there but I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this - and is it normal or something he should be getting checked out?
Thanks!

I think that you have already answered your own question and as much as your husband is trying to dismiss this feeling { flutters ] as paranoia it is enough for you to be worried and post this question.
Yes I have a pacemaker and yes I experienced fluttering and no it was not paranoia and certainly was not normal { for me } so I picked up the phone and contacted my rhythm team.
Long story short the Pacemaker needed a tweak or two as it was sending a signal down a large nerve that runs by it causing the unpleasant feelings { very common }
The pair of you must rid yourself of worry and talk to the professionals that can help you do so, your not bothering them, they have been waiting to hear from you.
You have both been through so much together, now its time to mend, use every means possible to do so.
Take care { oooooh yes my flutterings are gone } you are both in my thoughts
Hey. I have an ICD too. I've had my tweaked lots of times. I've had a few flutters and I feel it pacing, which can be uncomfortable. Do you have a home monitor? If so you can send a download to the hospital. If not call the pacing team they are really helpful x
