Dear Gingerbaker

The dreaded worry and lack of sleep, its two of the most posted items on this and many other forums.

There are answers, but as we are all individuals the answer has to be tailored to you, which not knowing your background is difficult for us to do.

You must contact your Dr and explain, like you have to us, your symptoms as lack of decent sleep will add to your anxiety .

I thought that it was something that I could never suffer with,

I am a man, brought up in a manly way, the great "Get On With It Attitude" drummed into me, and what a complete load of rubbish that was, all it did was make my moods worse as I tried to understand why the hell I was sitting in a corner crying like a baby.

By reading others stories on here I began to realise that I had a problem that not only had a name but could be helped.

Many on here have guided me and the outcome was { through my Dr and Heart Nurse } some mental health therapy and a short course of sleeping tablets.

I know that the last part is a bit controversial on here but the sleeping tablets worked for me to get back into a pattern.

Am I cured ? of course not, but Im getting to a better place and as I look back I realise how far down the spiral of life I had fallen.

Take care, you are not alone as much as this moment is telling you just the opposite .

You are in my thoughts

Hello :-)

Nothing worse than a lack of sleep because that creates anxiety

It is still early days but if it continues it could be one of your meds and would be worth speaking to your Doctor about

I do not sleep to well so I wait till I cannot stay awake any longer which can be very late at night sometimes but then I do find it helps me to stop waking up in the night and a get a few hours decent sleep :-)

Give yourself time for things to settle down and when you feel anxious try and tell yourself this is just for now but will improve :-) x

I have also suffered this sleep pattern since a HA & stents. Take a look at the side effects of your medication and see what might be responsible or least contributing.

I slept with aspirin and GTN spray for 4 months at least. I still do on occasion.

Yoga Nidra helped quite a bit.
