Finasteride with Tamsulosin

Hi, I am just going onto a course of tablets subscribed to me for an enlarged prostate, Finasteride along with Tamsulosin which I am already taking. My erections have been pretty much none existent since I have been on the Tamsulosin so am definitely worried that I will loose it completely with this new drug. I've read that you cannot take erection enhanced drugs with these tablets but wondered if anyone has and if they worked. Like others on here I'm not looking forward to the Turps operation which I guess will be inevitable the end!

I have been on Finastride and tamsulosin for a number of years and I have used 50mg sildenafil prescribed by my urologist successfully without suffering any harm

Ive been on tamsulosin for a few years and had a triple bypass 18 months ago. My doc says that any form of Viagra is a no go !! Any alernatives ?

I have had two TURPs within the last two years and if my experience is anything to go by I can assure you they are not as bad as you would believe. Inconvenient yes, painful and distressing no. My only other comment is when clearly the medication has got to the point where is not on top of your problems do not put off going for the TURP since there can be complications arising which may not be reversed when the inevitable TURP does take place.

Like you I’ve been on Tamsulosin for maybe two years and just 10 days into Finasteride. Night time erections are very rare reduced volumes of semen takes forever to get there.
