Good morning all. In January 2022 at the age of 81, I was diagnosed with Unstable Angina, I must admit I did not take it too seriously until last month when I did have an attack, nothing major but I did not enjoy the experience ! then last Saturday afternoon it really it me with a painful one, Daughter rang 999 and it all took off, treatment was fantastic everything galvanised into action , even the telephonist on the end of the 999 call advised me to take 4 aspirin but to chew them while I was waiting,. eventually I was discharged home 24 hours later where | I just slept like a log and still feeling totally devoid of any energy . ( I am blaming the Angina for this lethargy BUT I do also suffer from PMR - Polymyalgia Rheumatica - which can also knock me out )

basically I am just asking for any advice on how to control the Angina as it is unstable any hints and tips gratefully received

all very best wishes

I guess they've given you a cocktail of medication, take it religiously, my experience tells me that it works as does loosing a bit of weight and if possible gentle exercise.I also found that using the GTN spray proactively really helped, use it before walking up a hill or doing something that you find triggers your angina.

Best wishes.
