It will be likely down to where you are living and that could mean a large variance. And, if applicable. whether the procedure is deemed urgent or routine. If you are on a waiting list ask the admissions office

My husband was diagnosed with a congenital bicuspid valve in 2020, he’s now 64. He had a call this week to go for the pre-op tests and hopefully will be admitted for the operation on Monday 🤞This is all depending on a critical care bed being available for him when he calls them on Sunday & we understand that it’s not unusual for things not to go ahead due to lack of beds. He found out he was definitely on the waiting list in March. It’s been a very long & worrying 2 years, with what seems like, many hospital appointments (in person and by telephone) and various scans in the meantime. Terrified but looking forward to getting back to normal -if we can remember what ever that is!

Good morning....different valve for me.... mitral valve....urgent op cancelled the night before and have now been waiting 7 months for a new date as a priority/urgent case. This is for severe mitral valve regurgitation. I have phoned once again this week and have been told they are looking into it!! I dont know how long you have waited but wish you a less lengthy time and a happy outcome. All the best
