Hi all.thanks for your replies and support. Spoke to my doctor today and he said although I have not got high blood pressure or a problem with cholesterol i am on medication for those symptoms to help avoid another heart attack or stroke so must tell the insurance company that I am taking them for high blood pressure.came as a bit of a shock but I told allclear insurance and they were fine with it.managed to get annual cover for around £395. So not as bad as I expected.regards

Dear Passenger21

I am glad that you did not get a shock with your insurance quote and to be honest with you it does seem reasonable.

Please just make sure that you have all the facts from your Dr { letter } and that you tell your insurance company absolutely everything. Remember your health can change over the course of your insurance covering you and what covered you a month a go may not be the same now.

There are horror stories abound when this hasn’t been done, it the last shadow you need hanging over a holiday.

Take care and have a fantastic time whenever you decide it’s time to get a way.
