I got a pacemaker implant too at age of 57 in april 20 . It took me 6 months to feel fully normal. The surgery site does not pain now or cause any discomfort, I can sleep on both sides . My doc said I can do everything after 6 months . Just avoid lifting weight beyond 2 to 3 kg., stay away from cellphone..at least 6 to 8 inches, use the right side for answering calls preferably blue tooth or speaker phone, stay away from loud speakers and cooking jobs by 2 to 3 ft . Walk and exercise to keep heart health and body fit. Also get blood reports and heart echo done every two years

Hi, glad to hear you are now feeling normal again. I myself had a pacemaker fitted two months ago and all seems ok so far. As regards to cooking, l was told to avoid induction hobs which is unfortunate as l had one fitted eighteen months ago. However, then to keep approximately two foot away, which if you are attending/stirring something on the hob is pretty impossible. Looks like l shall have to change it!
