I posted a couple of weeks ago that the 1st appointment for the eye clinic would be August. Well I got a call to ask would I be willing to go to a Private Clinic/Hospital for an appointment and then 3/4 weeks later for the Cataract Surgery, all in estimate 6 weeks !!!
Yes please it's only 40 minutes by Car so just waiting for a call. Nice to see the NHS is working to catch up.

That's great to know. My cataracts have badly affected my life during winter; not able to drive after 4 pm or leave the house, appointments only within a short afternoon window. It's really time they were done.
i had one of my eyes done over a year ago in feb last year i had my preop to have the 2nd one done but then covid hit,i have one eye that had a short sighted lens fitted and the other one i can barely see out of ,so its been a nightmare all year waiting to get the 2nd one done and i have been without my glasses
Good news. I had my left eye done in August and then it all shut down again. Now my right eye is scheduled for 20 April 😄Meanwhile I am using a contact lens in my right eye when I go out to avoid falling over since depth perception is really bad!!
