Results of echocardiogram and MRIcardiac at Brompton

I had an echocardiogram in early Dec. Got results on 14/1. Told Eject Fraction of 20-25%. Serious heart failure. Complete change of all meds. So shocked I had no idea, family all devastated, caused immense stress, went for MRI got results 2 days ago. EF47%. How is that possible. Anyone had a similar experience.

I had done my echocardiogram on 16 December , my ejection fraction was 24%, again complete shock to me and family. Im on all usual meds.

Abit strange, going from 20-25% then 47%. Even though its a positive sign.

Someone more experienced will be along shortly to advise I’m sure, but it is possible for your EF to improve dramatically with the right cocktail of meds.
