SYMPTOMS

Roemheld Syndrome, can manifest in several different ways, these are the most common symptoms reported by patients.

Sinus Bradycardia (slow heart rate)

Shortness of Breath

Chest tightness

Muscle cramping

Dizziness

Palpitations

Belching, nausea

Arrhythmia (irregular heart beat)

Tachycardia (rapid heart rate)

Panic attacks

Confusion

Anxiety

Depression

Blood pressure fluctuations

Lightheadedness

Vasovagal syncope (fainting)

Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)

Fatigue

I’m having similar symptoms and Dr are saying anxiety. I am saying to them that my symptoms are making me anxious! Had a massive episode in 2017 then a few little ones afterwards. Having another massive episode now 2021 which started mid March. Have been up and down with heart rate at 188 at one point while in bed! I get major fatigue, nausea, dizziness, tinnitus, vertigo, palpitations, hot flushes, muscle weakness and feel like I’m going to pass out. My heart can be 188 one minute and then drop to like 42! Blood pressure remains stable throughout these episodes. Although during first big one at times it was low. It mainly happens at night so I’m not really sleeping and it’s so hard as I have x2 kids under 5. It’s really scary when it happens. I think drs think I’m crazy! I have been diagnosed with GERD and IBS. I’ve had a holter x2 and it picked up extopics. I’ve also had a ultrasound of the heart which was fine. When I mentioned to my gastroenterologist he laughed at me saying he had never heard of this syndrome! During a long episode like what I’m having now it’s hard to lead a normal life! It’s really getting me down! I just want answers and hep to control it! 🙏😊
