Pain in feet and Ankles

Sudden cardiac arrest 3yrs ago. 1 stent fitted in LAD, medication - Ramapril 1.5mg, Bisopropol 1.5mg, Atorovastatin 80mg, aspirin. Fully recovered and returned to lots of exercise/fitness at same level as before. Had urinary infection in early January which took two courses of antibiotics to clear, since then experienced significant joint and muscle pain in feet/ankles. Blood inflammatory makers elevated, x-ray show mild arthritis but physio, acupuncture and short course of naproxen no effect. 5 months and no improvement - any help?

pain in feet and ankles-

I also have pain and numbness in feet and ankles. I thought it was my anticoagulant that caused it. Are you on any anticoagulant? I’m also on blood pressure meds and atorvastatin.

Hi Like you, I have been a lifelong cyclist

Had a heart scare 4 years ago climbing a steep hill with my 17 av group

Severe familial atherosclerosis diagnosed

Agatston score 1315 - very high indeed

3 CABG in Feb 17

Wish my story had a happy ending!

Took a short 12 week course of very low dose statin ending in April 17

Which made the vastus medialis achy

And despite stopping statins almost 4 years ago now

The aches are still there

Maybe your muscle/joint stuff is statin related?

All the best!
