Night time breathlessness

Please can anyone offer any advice on how to help my husband get some relief from the night time coughing and breathlessness, He saw his heart nurse yesterday, She offered no advice, She did check his chest which is clear, He is being put on Entresto as of Monday and is due to have a ICD fitted on the 19th Nov, He has now been given 2 inhalers which don't really seem to help, He has informed me this morning that he suffered angina pain that woke him last night, His heart spray did it's job and the pain stopped, I do check his weight daily and if he gains more than 3 pounds over a few days i do give him a extra water tablet until his weight has returned to normal, I would be grateful of any advice as this morning he has told me he is now becoming frightened, many thanks

Worth a try - sleep propped up on at least four pillows arranged into a V shape. A V shaped pillow with two on top also could work. Good luck.
