I tried them briefly but didnt like them and worried about the toxins in them. Gave up through the doctors clinic using Champix, which has no nicotine, so the addiction goes. Best thing I did.

18 months now. I sort of think now that either you smoke, or you don't. No halfway house really. Good luck to you whatever you do.

I have been using E-Lites for about 6 months now after I stopped smoking last May with the help of patches. In some ways I wish I hadnt started using them as it keeps the nicotine addiction going but it is way better than smoking ordinary cigs. I have just returned from the USA and found lots of places where they were not accepted. I have made a decision to only use them in places where smoking is allowed as I was using them too much

I'm using Skycigs, but haven't managed to give up yet :( I'm down to about 4 or 5 a day though from a high of 40 and am still working on it :)

I have SKY e cigs and I love their cartomisers...they feel the most realistic to 'drag' on and the whole thing is a lot lighter weight than the e lites which I found too heavy to hold making them feel unrealistic.

If its any use the cartomisers from electroniccigaretteinfo.co.uk/ are compatible and they do a nicotine free version for weaning you off the nicotine as well. If you find the SKY e cigs batteries short lived then try one from the above...they last 2/3 times as long!

The hole in the cartomisers from them are slightly smaller though, making it harder to 'drag' on them but they're still reasonable though not as much 'vape'.

Hope this helps,

Lorraine

Thank you for all the info. Day 2 on giving up smoking using skycigs, they certainly help but I still miss the ciggies.

The first few days are the worst, I know but at least you aren't getting carbon monoxide in your lungs as you would with real cigarettes. I have tried 4 different kinds of ecigs and I like the VIP ones best, coffee flavor or menthol. choice of 4 strengths. I only stopped smoking a month ago after 60 years and the ecig has helped me. Please persevere and keep letting us know how you are getting on. I like to hear from others who are trying to quit smoking.

ps. the patches and lozenges didn't work for me.

Champix did it for me,smoked for forty six years and have been off them for three and a half years.Dare i say i loved my cigs, saw them as a prop when things got tough. Had to choose in the end between a few seconds of enjoyment and being able to breath. Good luck to all who are trying

I have been using a E-cig for the past 2 years from Totally Wicked and not had a real cigarette since. I had a CT Scan 2 weeks ago and my Consultant said she can see that I have given up smoking and to carry on with the e-cig you can taper the Nicotine content down to what ever you want I love my e-cig and have got numerous people to have a go with them and all have stopped whilst using them by the way I have Severe Emphysema and have smoked from the age of 13 I am now 62 no harm in trying them they have saved me a fortune as well xx
