lung doctor appt advice needed

i have my follow up appt at the hospital on monday after my ct scan my gp said i have emphysema as well as severe asthma can anybody tell me what i should ask for as dss will obviously send me yet another medical questionaire

I'd suggest having a chat with the BLF Helpline on 03000 030 555, Mon-Fri 10-6

They have nurses who will be able to talk to you and give you the terms that you should be asking about.

You also need to ask the hospital to send you copies of the letters they send to your GP, if you don't already get copies. This will provide useful proof when filling in new forms. I'm guessing by your referal to the DSS that you've been long term disabled.

Also good to get expert assistance in form filling from the CAB or Age UK if you can.

hi gordon thanks for advice yes i am longterm disabled i have had a bad bout of depression then diagnosed with emphysema i have been on dla for 2 yrs and just awarded a 5 yr award but seem to get atos medical form every 6 weeks
