Hi all,
I took two puffs of Salamol this morning at about 7:30am, since then I have been out and it's so cold, it's affected my breathing and coughing. Am I able to take at least another puff before the 4 hour time frame?
Hugs
Cass

hi
i had a bad bout after going outside in the cold...and had to resort to nhs direct and the nurse told me to take 3 goes on the inhaler...regardless of when i last took it. it did the trick with no ill effects
take care dave
Salamol is a reliever inhaler and can be used as required to ease symptoms. I find it useful to use mine about 10 minutes before going out to avoid getting short of breath due to the change in temperature, also try having a scarf covering your mouth when going out into the cold air as it warms the air slightly as you're breathing in. Take care, Richard
Thank you gentlemen I also phoned NHS Direct and they said the same Dave, did work for me too. I was only diagnosed last November so everything is new to me and I'm still learning.
Richard, a scarf would have been a great idea, I will use the tip in the future.
Blessings
Cass
