I am over the moon and really happy. Read on to find out more....

Went to my annual COPD check today for usual blowing and puffing etc. Nurse said my reading were quite a bit better than last time! Oxygen level 92 pc (which nurse said was bit low but I was pleased with).

I am not really in the COPD range at the moment and just have asthma - WOW.

She was changed my diagnosis from 'mild COPD' to 'very very mild COPD',

She reckoned that most of my problem was badly controlled asthma. Now I am on Symbicort and Spiriva as well its obviously having an effect.

She also said eating more healthly and dog walking was paying rewards!

Its great to see the results of that.

I might be here under false pretences now... :)

Very good news, and in time for Christmas, so have a happy and improved health Christmas and New Year.

I have just had the letter from the hospital,I did not expect it so soon as I only went on monday, and it shows FEV1 at 0.8 and VC at 1.8. I know you all understand this but I do not. Seeing my own Doctor on tuesday but can someone put me out of my misery and tell me if thats good, bad or reasonable? He has prescribed Carbocisteine 375mg twice a day and then move up to 750mg, has anyone else an opinion on this drug? I have researched it and it may have contraindications for my skin so would appreciate any experience you may have. Just gathering so when I do see the Doctor will have a bit more understanding.

Sorry, just noticed this. I cannot translate your readings as I only work with FEV1 percentages. Doc should tell all though. As to Carbocisteine I take two tablets, three times a day when I am coughing and maintain on 1 tablet, three times a day otherwise. I have not experienced any ill effects but it can cause a skin rash in some people.

Great news! Ditto all the comments that you are not allowed to leave. xx

What fantastic news! X

Thanks for all your replies everyone. I am so pleased with the results. A friend of mine was not supportive so I told her that fortunately I go on a great support forum and they give me all the support I need! That shut her up...

Haven't been on for few days - managed to mess up my internet and its doing my head in.
