hi

my previous work required a two yearly spiro test, it was allways amusing when young men had lung age double, there real age, mostly smoking and not as fit as they thought.

On a different note are you aware of the risk, relateing to welding fumes. check HSE web site type, welding in the search panel, never to early.

Hi

I am not sure what MMA is, however you don't say if you have any medical problems, why you had the test done ? Secondly the quality control of the test has to be taken into consideration, third what is your ethnic origin 4th, are you a welder?

If you would care to ring the helpline on 03000 030 555 I will try and piece this together for you

Regards

Hi,

I have a yearly spiro test as I was diagnosed with COPD at age 48. I was told by the nurse not to take any notice of the lung age - mine was 83. Since then the lung age has varied between 78 and 83 so does not deteriate with real age. Hope this is reassuring!
