Yes, if leaves can cause rail services so many problems, they are bound to be much worse for those of us who are a bit vulnerable...
Where my Dad lives the trees are dropping little red berries onto the paths too and those are a real pain because it's a sheltered housing are and most people are using sticks, which go skidding off if you manage to trap a berry, or leaf, underneath. Same with feet !
On a good day I can sweep my leaves up and compost them, makes good stuff according to Monty Dom.
Grhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't talk to me about leaves,I live in a beautiful tree lined avenue, but of course every Autumn they come down. I share a communal path with 3 other households, two of which are able bodied, and who for the past 10 years has cleaned the leaves up for health and safety reasons, muggins with the crap lungs! Compost them I could but from my garden and the path alone I get 20 bags every year, just simply not the enough room.
I have to powerwash or it's all very slippy here and slopey !
