Hi sounds a bit like me, have been off work a good few times still on the sick now into my 8th week. No way can I go back yet just wouldn't manage, I am hoping to get back ! When though thats the question ! Val

Hi Elder. Nice to meet you. I have left 2 jobs because of illness and have not even tried to claim Job Seekers Allowance because they can saction your claim (not pay you for a period). If you need to do this go straight to you dr. and get as long a sick note as you can. If you then need to claim Jobseekers Allowance then they will not put sanctions on your claim. Hope this is helpful. x
