FIELDS OF YELLOW OIL SEED RAPE

I don't know if its just me, but I am finding this oil seed rape a breathing nightmare

A lot of people complain of rape seed, have you tried taking an antihistamine? This may help if there are any other symptoms such as itchy eyes, sneezing etc.

The hot weather we are having is causing breathing problems as well. It may well be worth speaking to your GP or practice nurse if your breathing doesn't improve.

Thanks Jo, I am taking 5mg Desloratgadine now to see if that will help.

At the moment I dont honestly know which weaqther suits me.

I find these fields of gold a nightmare too, and yes they do affect my breathing, along with all the other stuff like itchy skin, eyes, ears etc etc. My own allergies are really severe and even with permanent oral steriods, eye drops, anti histamines I still suffer. The way I cope is not go to close to these dreaded fields, which is difficult I know. Also wash my hair several times of day to make sure I am carrying little pollen, as does my hubby. Plus my dog also gets weekly washes when pollen count high so that she carries little pollen too. Another thing you could try is putting vasaline around your nostrils to trap some of the pollen to try and cut down some of it entering your body. Little tricks I use from time to time when it is at its worst.
