I am a mum of a 7yr old son who has just been diagnosed with tracheabronchomalacia. Just wondered if any other parents in similar situation?

Most children seem to have been diagnosed early, sadly we have only just founf out, despite him suffering with infections etc for many years. Cant seem to find much info about older children with TBM

Maybe ring the BLF Helpline ? as well as your son's consultant. Hope you get more info and help. So sorry , must be hard to handle such news. take care.

Hi Vicki so sorry for your son's recent diagnosis, it must be difficult for you.

As Julie suggests you will get lots of information and advice from the BLF helpline, its a freephone number 03000 030 555.

I hope another parent in a similar situation comes along shortly to give you extra support and understanding.

Quite a bit comes up if you type 'Children with trachea bronchomalacia, UK' into your browser / search engine, or search on 'tracheabronchomalacia, UK' (the search results are different when you include a space after trachea and before bronchomalacia.)

Your GP or consultant may know of a local group that can give you some support at this time or your local library may have something listed.

Hope you can make some helpful connections.

Good wishes

Zoe
