I'm sorry no-one has replied yet. I think this is quite a rare disease. Phone the helpline on 0300 222 5800. They should be able to help, or at least point you to places where you can find out more about your son's condition.

Hi there. I have Bronchiolitis Obliterans too. I got this disease because I have had Rhuematoid arthritis for many years, it eventually went on to savage my lungs. I was diagnosed with lung disease around 2014. I ended up having a single lung transplant in 2019. I think every case is different and many can live with this condition for some years but in general the prognosis is not so good because there is no known effective treatment for BO. I am doing well and am almost five years post transplant although it has been a very long road to get to where I am today.

I am truly sorry to hear your son has this disease. It's an awful toll on the body and mind. If I can help in any way please do let me know.

Sending very best wishes.
