Trixeo Aerosphere

My new consultant has just changed my inhaler to Trixeo Aerosphere and all seemed fine for the first couple of weeks. I am now in bed gasping for breath with masses of mucus. Is anyone using this inhaler and what is their experience of it please

You need to go to gp. It may well be total coincidence that after a successful time with new inhaler you are struggling now. It could well be that you have picked up a chest infection. Try and get an appointment tomorrow but if you get any worse during the night please don’t hesitate to call at very least 111.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you Bevvy, my first reaction last Wednesday was a chest infection especially as a common side effect of Trixeo is Pneumonia (charming). I am feeling much better now and able to get out of bed and walk around but I'm still not feeling not notch. I could have picked something from the hospital appointments I had the week before- that is the easiest place to pick some up.

I would still like to know of the experiences of other people with regard to Trixeo I have never seen it mentioned on this forum before.

Hi - have been on Trixeo for over a year. On commencing I was extremely breathless (had been on Trelegy previously) and ended up reducing to 1 puff twice a day and then building up to prescribed 2 puffs twice a day. Took about 6 weeks to stabilise. I would agree if you started well and are feeling poorly now could likely be a chest infection. Trixeo is good as it's taken twice a day so one gets more relief at night but I wish they would improve design - it frequently gets blocked. Hope you feel better soon.

Thankyou Misneach. This is wierd. Yesterday I felt much better and worked half the day, rested In afternoon and carried on till 8pm, slept all night. This morning early felt ok and then within a hour or so felt ghastly and went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours. Thanks for the cleaning tip.

I'm on Trixeo and Alvesco and I've not experienced any bad side effects. Maybe you picked up an infection? I'm sorry you're so poorly, wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hope you feel better soon. Some of these clever new meds seem to have drastic side effects.
