I tell you what, if you read the leaflet that comes with your medication you would not try anything. I read a lot of things prescribed for copd can make you breathless and death. To be honest with you they have to advise you of this although it's extremely rare. Believe me when I say I have got to the point where I will try anything to breath properly again and used to worry about side effects but these are rarer than winning the lottery. I would say go for it chook. 😉

Hello there 😊👋. I take A LOT of medication. I have also used inhalers and nebulisers in the past. There is not a single medication out there that does not come with some kind of warning about side effects , cancer and even death. Drug companies who test these products are obligated to list every risk and side effect even if just one in a thousand of their test subjects has a side effect. If I took to heart all these warnings and did not take even half of my medication I would be dead within a week from allograft rejection. The main thing is, does this inhaler improve your quality of life?

Don't be put off taking medication due to this list compiled by the manufacturers to cover every aspect of every illness...Side effects like the above are very rare ...
Quality of breathing is much more important... Keep on doing what's best for you ...

To be honest I rarely get concerned over possible side effects. Many are so rare you stand more chance of being hit by lightning. Due to informed consent every possible complication or risk is disclosed. Sadly social media seems to concentrate on the more rare events without balancing the facts out.
I do read the leaflets, usually to make sure medications don't have the food colourings that cause me problems. But other than that, I live for today and take them to improve how I am so that I can truly live today. If there are problems later on, I'll deal with them when they arise.

I Ipratropium several times a day, the difference between that and tiotropium is taken once a day. Both are the same type of drug. Olodaterol is another long acting drug in spiolto. So you have 2 long acting drugs.
I take Ipratropium and Salmamol and Fostair containing a steroid and formoterol and I heard all kinds of don't take formoterol but I am still here.
I take morphine and you should read the horror story's about that. All list of side effects are there as you have to know, does not mean you will get them
More important to keep your airways open and IF you get bad side effects, see your GP. My Rivaroxaban can cause death, more likely that would happen if I did not take it.
Lastly if your inhaler helps that's what matters.
