How long does it take typically to get a reply/acknowledgement about your claim?

It can take up to 12weeks . If you are successful you will receive back pay from the date you applied. Sheila x

I think it was only two or three weeks but they do backdate it from when you first put in the claim.

I was lucky, my landlord had sold my flat back to the original housing association and during this changeover I had a lot of help from the housing association who had accepted me as a sitting tenant of long standing, the lady representative who came to visit me filled the form out for me whilst asking question about my health and mobility.
