Sorry to hear about your difficulties. When I look for slippers or shoes I go to well known brands such as sketchers or pave where they should have more secure slippers.
Having said which, have you spoken to your gp about falling? There is something at most hospitals called the Falls Clinic where they can assess you and discover if there is a reason for falling. Hopefully then treatment can be offered……
Hi, I brought slip-on trainers from M&S £35. Good ridged non-slip soles and really comfortable, i dont even bend down to do them up. I got them because ordinary slippers seem to have flat shiny surfaces on the sole. I slipped once too often on the stairs .
You're welcome, they come in navy, black or light grey. They're so comfy & well fitting i have the grey for inside & black for walking the dog. 1/2 sizes too & after a year they haven't gone f.oppy like slippers usually do, washed in washing machine twice too (I dont have shares in M&S)!
Sympathy both for the falling and the paper skin. And the wish to avoid sensible slippers for as long as possible. I wear open toed mules because every other kind of slipper gives my bunion gyp. I hope you find something nice. xxx
