Just got this uk website

A thoracoscopy is a way of examining the chest wall using a small 'telescope', called a thorascope, through a little hole (about one to two cm) in the chest. This allows the doctor to look inside your chest and around the outside of your lungs to find out why fluid has collected in your chest cavity.

I don’t know about a thoracoscopy looking for lung and heart problems ,but I had a bronchoscopy were you are sedated and a tube with a camera is put into your lungs looking for problems

.it sounds worse than it is, but in my case very effective , as they found things that using other methods. they hadn’t

I hope someone comes along who can give you more information on Thoracoscopy

Regards

Brian
