Can cardiac be referring to lungs?

PS I just noticed your post/question on the heart forum. If you're referring here to cardiac valve surgery on your records it would be to do with the heart. I don't know what the other item you referred to means, you'd best contact your medics as we are just patients here. Perhaps look up the cardiac valve procedure on NHS website.

I can only add much surgery in UK is absolutely top notch.

I suspect, speaking only from my own experience, that heart and lung problems go together. The lungs don't deliver enough oxygen, so the heart has to work harder delivering it to the bits that need it. This is strictly my own theory. You would need to ask a doctor if it is right.

That's what I was told when I was put on oxygen. They found my heart was starting to fail because of overwork to keep me breathing.

as previously mentioned, but my consultant did tell me heart problems can cause breathing problems, he did refer me for a heart ultrasound which showed a leaky valve, so I had that to add to the Aspergillosis and COPD all which can cause breathlessness.

They are linked, but not the same.

I was investigated for heart problems before the consultants identified that I had a lung issue. A scan showed the upper right chamber of my heart was slightly enlarged, which did not cause a problem in itself, but showed that my lungs weren't working properly.

Cardiac means 'of the heart'. Cardiovascular means 'of the circulatory system' i.e. including diseases of the blood circulation as well as the heart. You did not ask about the latter but just mentioning it because medics use cardiac to distinguish diseases specifically of the heart from cardiovascular diseases.
