Hi guys, I know you will remember the farce that was my treatment - so no no need to do 10 A4 worth of words.
Just say last year I never got a follow up - until almost a year later.
This time I had my BCG treatment for BC and a week Wednesday I have a Cystoscopy to see if the treatment has worked. Just a day case, overnight at worse.
However last time my consultant was happy to have me continue with BSG - i felt good at last,, that did not last long if you remember.
So thins time is a crunch - If my cancer is still in situ (still in bladder) even if it has not spread, I have been told I won't be offered BCG any more Although thus far no spread.
At the last follow up they wanted to remove the whole problem by surgery, then he said you can have BCG which I did, but ringing in my ears is what that consultant said.
i won't see you next follow up, I don;t do those types of operation and you next follow up, you will be talking to a surgeon.
Not as good as it sounds you have to be fit enough to stand that op.
So if I am lucky and all the cells are gone - then that would be fantastic. If my affected cells are still in situ (not spread) at my age and my health. I doubt I will accept their king request of all or nothing, I will ask for alternative like Chemo and or radiation.
The only way I think at the moment I will accept such a major op, is if my cancer has spread.
Sorry for the long boring post - I will soon have an idea and will follow this up...

Definitely not a boring post Ern and good to hear from you. I do hope you get the best treatment possible and am sending you my very best wishes. Xxx❤️
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that all the cells are gone and you can get on with your life unfettered. With this arthritis and cramp my fingers are pretty useless anyway. Never apologise for giving us an update no matter how long. Wondering how members are is much worse.
Thank you Donald - The Tumour was took out by TURBT in 2001 and the tumour as not returned, but the cells are the problem and mine is G2 - but even so to date it still has not spread.
It is quite a tale and not boring. You do seem to be very clued up about the options. But these things are worrying so I do hope you get the news you want.
Thanks for the update Ern. I am praying that all the cells are gone and you can get on with life without this worry, if not then i pray that you have the strength to deal with it whatever the path you have to travel, know that we will be with you along the way. Sending love and hugs x
