Hi Everyone im t.rying to find some answers to some information but struggling to what it means does anyone have any idea what this means please.

Mild centrilobular emphysematous changes upper lobes?

Be grateful for some advice

Hi Kizzykazzy, from what I read I understand that Centrilobular emphysema affects the upper areas of the lungs, I think there are four types of emphysema, not sure which I have but I know that none of the types are good, so Mild centrilobular emphysematous changes upper lobes is describing your illness and the fact that it is affecting your upper lung space, hope this helps..

i have been shortness of breathe for a good few years now i struggle to do simple tasks as have to rest alot. Not had any help from my doctors regarding this apart from the odd salamol inhaler but does not help. i have a spirometry test on friday so hopefully will get some answers. Sorry to hear you have emphysema mymouse thank you again for your reply

I hope the Spirometry shows just what help you need, it is no joke when we struggle to breathe, it sounds like you need much more than the salamol inhaler, see how it goes with your GP's, hopefully another inhaler which should help, best of luck...

Good luck with your spirometry, ask for a copy of the print out of the result for your own records. I hope when you get the right medication for yourself you will begin to feel much better.
