i have had a bruise in the corner of my right eye for nearly week,it has now made my eye blood shot ,but as i use steroids and dry eye drops in my eyes after having transplants to both eyes 3yrs ago would i still be able to have over the counter eye drops or see my gp.

I think it would be best to ask your pharmacist, GP or optician. I hope it gets better soon.

It could be quite dangerous to use eye drops that have been open for 3 years. They could have all sorts of bacteria inside now. Hope you are able to speak with gp today. If not a chemist should be able to advise you.

hi,i havnt used 3yr old eye drops,ide never do that,i had cornea transplants 3yrs ago,ive been on steroid eye drops since then because the first time they were done both eyes rejected them,somy surgeon redid them and the steroids are to stop the rejection ,which are great at the moment,i thought i had conjunctivitis ,but its a bleed,so i have an appointment to see my dr tomorrow,thankyou for replying,jackie

I believe blood-shot eyes can bean indication of high blood pressure.
