Good luck with the op, Sheila! I hope it makes a big difference for you, as it has done for several of my friends and family members 😀

I too have issues with HU emails - I seem to receive a lot of them 12-24 hours after everyone else, for some weird reason, and sometimes don’t get them at all, just see the responses a day or so later. Gremlins!

Just to add my good wishes for your op.I have had both my cataracts removed and it was the best thing I have ever done. I've been told that my vision now exeeds 20/20.

garshe in reply to Aingeful

That's fantastic news Sheila. I have been told I wont need glasses only for reading. I am only one below 20/20 so really my eyesight is not that bad. Have a good day and hope you are well xx Sheila 💕⚘

Good luck with your op on Sunday, I had mine done last year, first one in April then second one in the June, couldn’t believe how clear I could see straight after I had it done, even with the plastic patch over it, was amazing, everything looked brighter, I even thought the traffic lights were new at a particular roundabout, ha ha 🌺🌸💐 xx

garshe in reply to Loopylorre

That sounds fab hope I get good result .still nervous as I have anxiety attacks so praying this wont happen on Sunday🙏 thanks for reassurance. Have a good day xxSheila 💕⚘

I’m trying to catch up, glad cataract op went well, they do make such big difference. Expect your having second in new year. Good luck, Jean x

garshe profile image
garshe in reply to Morrison10

No date for second op yet. About 6weeks I think. Had left eye done, right not too bad it's a long haul putting drops in 4 times a day then reducing over next 4 weeks. Also hate not being able to wash hair etc. Worth it all in the end hopefully. Thanks xxSheila 💕⚘

Yes I found cataract ops very good, made big difference. Hope don’t keep you waiting long for 2nd, as might need new specs afterwards. Nice Christmas present, good luck. Best wishes Jean x

garshe profile image
garshe in reply to Morrison10

I have been told I wont need to wear glasses after. Only for reading. I don't wear my glasses now as see better without them .have a nice day xxSheila 💕⚘

Morrison10 profile image
Morrison10 in reply to garshe

that’s so good, I’ve worn specs for over 40 years, would be great not to need them. Yes both have nice day, best wishes, Jean x and Morrison x

garshe profile image
garshe in reply to Morrison10

I have glasses but sure wrong prescription as really can only see close up and should be distance glasses. Can see better without them. Hopefully will improve when op settles down as at present no difference still a film over eye. It is early days and have to be patient. Trouble is I want results immediately . xxSheila 🙈💕⚘

Morrison10 profile image
Morrison10

oh, that’s not good, hope that when have eye test in New Year after second op you need only reading glasses. I have varifocal, for reading and distance as couldn’t be constantly changing specs. I had friend who worked at Aston University, needed more people for students, have been going there about 45 years, takes longer but have all tests. Good luck, Jean x
