recently when I lie down I seem to take an involuntary small breath every now and then. I saw Professor Brown at UCLH who’s a very very knowledgeable doctor and I completely forgot to ask him what it meant. I was so annoyed with myself. Does anyone suffer from this ? I have had broncheactesis for about 30 years but this is a new symptom

broncheactesis
I had this before I was diagnosed 10 years ago. It went away when I began oxygen therapy. Recently I noticed it again once or twice during a period of increased breathlessness. It is sort of half a gasp. I did finally remember to ask my doctor and he asked if it was like a yawn. I thought not, but on reflection, it is something like a very short yawn.
I get this all the time, often several times a day. I've no idea what it is and would love to know. I have interstitial lung disease (idiopathic but thought to be hypersensitivity pneumonitis).
I used to see Professor Brown, I agree he’s really good. But then I got swapped to Royal Brompton (can’t remember why) which I think even better as it’s just heart and lungs. I see several people there, all of them great!
