anyone on here suffered dysfunctional breathing disorders???

No, but there are some ways to reduce it, if someone is suffering from this ailment

1. Decrease respiratory rate.

2. Promote complete expiration.

3. Reduce overall ventilation.

4. Promote nose breathing.

5. Establish an abdominal/diaphragm pattern.

6. Asthma education, and exercise prescription.

7. Address musculoskeletal causes.

Singing lessons can help, or joining a singing for lung health group. You could also ask to be referred to a respiratory physio or to join a Pulmonary Rehab course.

Yes - I have. I have been told its when your vocal cords don't open properly and close when you breath in. I have seen the lung physios but the breathing exercises don't seem to help much. I have difficulty breathing all the time and cannot walk very far due to breathlessness Also strong vapours like petrol and oil and solvent cleaners, strong plant pollen - especially Cordyline - make it worse
