This has frequently happened to me although I don't have asthma. I have noted it to discuss at my next consultation. It's a very uncomfortable experience

Yes, I really struggle with breathing when eating sometimes

Quite frequently you should discuss it with your doctor or asthma clinic

Sometimes, but find i have to take small mouthfuls and eat really slowly, also sitting correctly helps, preferably at a table. Mention it to your GP, they might suggest something.

Yes I find that as well I have COPD and causes me to cough as well embarrassing now when eating out because of Covid I didn’t worry so much before you definitely need to sit at the table when eating take care xx

I have no problem with copd/asthma so I would say your medic is not giving you enough help, this shouldn’t happen unless it’s actually related to your nasal passages being very narrow as my daughter struggles and has a tiny mouth ( 33 now).Certainly you should not struggle and should investigate. Good luck 😉

I often do which ends up in me having a choking fit and need a back slap to almost get it back on track. usually near medication running out time

Sounds like you are a mouth breather. Is your nose bunged up?

I have asthma and severe COPD.I rarely eat out with friends as I am always coughing. I find it helps to pace myslf and most of my close friends know that I will be last to finish having cut everything into bite sizes to prevent inhalation.
