Hi

YET AGAIN I have been hospitalised for the same reason as before my Oxygen levels went down dangerouslyon Saturdaynight 1t3h August

on top of that I'm coughing more than normal & I suspect that it might be the return of Covid after when I tested positivewhile in hospital I was given Paxlovid to prevent it from replicating it's cells to start the infection

since I've finished the course & reused a second one I am pretty much surethat is the case ( the timeframe of finishing the course & having this coughing every minute of everyday -more than usual is the cause of it along with such extreme hot weather we've been having

im going to be having antibioticsi think but one of the nurses cane walking in with a bag of it which means a

needle. I reused this & requested it be in tablet form because I'm needlephobia & have to be informed10-15mins before to numb up first & I wasn't told

Sorry to hear that you're back in again you stick yo your guns with the needles. They should realised that quite a fww people have needle phobia and some are really bad. I been coughing quite a lot never used to bother me during the summer it used to be just winter now it seems to.be permanently there got no answers ftom ct scan and the advance nurse practioner who i asked to ring me she's on holiday now so im hoping my asthma nurrse at surgery might help also still waitingfor that f2f appointment to see my gp which she requested them to book it.I have to go on Wednesday to see the vampires for a blood test its a wonder i haven't got a needle phobia with all thd needles they stuck in me over the years.

Hope your well again soon, I was referred for my oxygen levels to be tested, it was a nurse at pulmonary rehab that referred me & pushed for it to be done quickly, obviously while your in hospital your unable to go to pulmonary rehab, but it might be worth asking if someone there can do it for you, it’s done in your wrist & I’ve got to say it’s not as bad as you think, my niece is needle phobic & she managed to have it done, good luck 🤞🏻 😊🥰

Hi

Thanks a lot. I know its done in your wrist lol I've had that done when I was first admitted for the same reason 2weeks ago

My specialist informed me when I was in the covid ward that I could also have it done on my ear instead. & also she told me the test can be done in the community as its known (what it means in that respect is at home - & the same applies to any medical home treatment I think

Thanking you kindly

Thanks very much I was shocked to hear that I had an extra infection on top of the covid I contracted from last time particularly when all I'd come for was to have my oxygen levels put back up to its base rate again

I ll do my best. Thanks very much

It's a good question well I've got more fat on my right hand side than my left & it doesn't hurt so don't numb up there I know this cos in my young teen, & 20s years I did the most stupidest thing & kept getting tiny pins & sticking them in to estimate how much there was & I noticed it didn't hurt(NB I'd NEVER do that now at my age I now know the folly of it

As my left side does have a role of fat however it's not as much as the right so I have to numb up

Hi,I as wondering how you are.I had issues with needles,I bought Elma cream by the tube.

Nearly 4 years later,it’s a bit easier.

With me having rubbish veins, little and wriggly, sometimes the cream was in the wrong place.I’ve finally given up.

I drink loads of water, always ask to lie down.

I ask the phlebotomist to talk to me( not about blood) best conversation was about the phlebotomist going on a hen weekend with 10 other girls.

It does make it a bit difficult sometimes, lying down, some of them use the couch as a table.

Have they discovered why your levels keep dropping.

Sometimes it takes ages for them to sort stuff out.

Every time I went below 10 mgm Prednisolone I struggled with breathlessness and pain.

Eventually the head of the lung department reviewed my. Spirometry results,he found that my DLCO dropped significantly when I went below 10 Pred

I don’t know what DLCO.

It’s strange, when first diagnosed I needed to know everything, now after nearly 4 years I just concentrate on How I am.

I’m so sorry I can’t be of any help to you.

I remember numbing up in the bends of the arms (in the middle of the arms only) _got my music on & gave them my keft arm to begin wirh & they faiked there & failed in the same pkace on my right & i felt a sharp pain on the back if the hand

When done they explaibed the reason for not using the numbing up & was told to nect time numb up everywhere i could see veins sticking up on both arms

So thats what i do now i numb up on both those areas & it works ok
