Good morning Pokermon,

I’m pleased your mum has managed to visit James and hope he’ll make a good recovery. Pete’s hands are always hot and his feet too I believe so can’t help there I’m afraid. Xxxx

It’s that Jame’s went well, although I’m sure recovery will be long, and it’s good that your mum got to see him, it would have reassured her, although I don’t envy her the three hour bus journey! Have the hospital given James any idea how long he’ll be in hospital? On the cold hands and feet, it sounds like a circulation issue although I’m no expert. Have you seen a dr about it?

Poor James, he certainly has been through it. I hope that the surgery was successful. I'm glad that your mum has been able to visit but what a journey she had.

My hands and especially my feet are always cold and always have been. I don't know why but my sister is the same as was my late mum so it seems to be a family trait. Earlier this year I had podiatrists treating an ulcer on my foot and they kept commenting on my cold feet even though I was wearing thick wool socks! My husband has cold hands and feet too but his are due to side effects of his medication for high blood pressure.

Hi Pokermon. I'm so sorry that James and your Mum are really going through it. She is amazing to do that bus journey.Yes, cold feet all of my life. I always have to go to bed in bedsocks but in recent years, by about 2am I have red hot feet and have to throw them off! You just can't win.x

Glad to hear that James's op went well, and hope he will continue to improve and be free of pain soon. I'm sure he appreciated your mum's gallant effort to see him. My feet vary. I was wearing bedsocks one night last week, but definitely not at the moment. xxx

wow .. a three hour ride on a bus is a feat of love. Well done Pokermon's mum. The end result of happiness and knowing she was there with James in the hospital must be 'good for both of them. Glad James is now recovering well.

I have known a few people with Raynaud's the biggest problem they had, was remembering to wear socks and gloves when others were baking around them. I am unsure what treatments (if any) there are now. Have to keep a watch out that you do not hurt yourself and miss that you have done it, if the feeling goes a little, along with the warmth.

Hello Pokermon. Poor James. Broken bones are very painful. I know from lung transplant. Probably more painful than the incisions. I hope he is on the mend although I think it will take time.

As for cold extremities if your core temperature drops the blood vessels in the hands and feet drop. I think people with low body fat are more affected by this. Physical movement really helps if you can manage it. You do not have neuropathy do you? I find hot water bottles help my cold feet a lot. Take good care Pokermon. xx ❤️

Hi Pokerman I am glad that James is recovering. He really has been through it recently and your mum is amazing with all that she does. I sympathise about the cold feet and until 2 days ago I was still taking a hottie to bed. Even now I wear socks.

Take care of yourself and your mum.
