This afternoon I had two phone calls totally random . The first funny the second made me angry . The first was from a double glazing sales office offering fantastic deal's on double or triple glazed windows really pushy so let them drone on sounding interested got to the point of they would come to measure up and asked for my address so told them for some reason they hung up 😂😂😂 second was from a funeral service pushing me to take out a funeral plan , I had a call like this before after numerous emails. This made me angry ignorant people praying on upset and misery and told them so . Yet again really pushy people trying to get your money.

The second one I've had before probably the same company Very pushy on the verge of aggressive. I lost the plot again letting them know they are vultures praying on people with such insensitivity that these businesses should be hunted down and shut down

One of the letters I opened on my return home from hospital, was addressed to my husband, offering a Residential Property Management Service. First problem with this, my husband did not own property (other than our flat), and he was a Residential Property Manager. Worse than this, he died 9 years ago!! Am going to ring this company at some point, and ask who does their research and how old is information they are using, an awful waste of trees, sending all this bumph out.

I asked the funeral service the first time they called me where they got the information about people health because it's not an automated dialer they refused to answer. Makes you wonder how they get such sensitive information. But in your case it's down right disgusting . Nothing more than jackels and vultures

We got so fed up with dodgy calls, we installed a call blocking phone where people have to introduce themselves if the number they called from is not in our phone book. It took a little getting used to, but we have very few cold calls now, and they're on my mobile.

I just hang up immediately if I dont know the caller and they are selling something. Got better things to do than listen to their jargon.Everyone gets these Cold Calls ,annoying, but just put the phone down and dont give them the time of day.

Didn't mind the double glazing one that was funny and I don't think I will get a call back from them 😂😂 I tried rejecting the call last time I even blocked them but they use a different number I just keep blocking them

I hate all the depressing adverts on TV. I have the remote control ready to switch channels as soon as they come on. Between Cremation,funerals ,equity release and cancer adverts it's so depressing.
We all need cheering up not having all this depressing news .
I do wonder where these people get our telephone numbers from. I am ex directory but I still get these calls. So annoying.

I used to get offers of solar panels and replacement windows. Once they find out that my property is leasehold they hang up.

It was fun letting them drone on about triple glazing will improve the quality of life and how cheap the deals can be and then when I said I'm interested do you measure up the windows out in Greece where I am the phone went straight down 😂😂😂😂😉
It’s big business now to have a funeral plan in place. My mother in law had one and there was still some money to pay x
I never answer unknown callers but my hubby makes it his mission to wind the caller up

Thought about leaving a message on answer phone saying the person you are trying to call as passed away to leave a message press 666 on your key pad now. 😂😂 But realized it may confuse my friends or doctors 😂😂😂
My Grandmother had a police whistle, which she blew down the phone, if a heavy breather came on the line (seems to be out of fashion now), as it was a party line for a couple of years, had to warn the neighbours.

And the other more recent one of stalkers, we do seem to have the ability to be very creative when it comes to harassing and frightening other people, I feel if we put as much energy into doing something creative, the world would be much better.

Those that are bossy and get quite aggressive when you politely say no thanks well I have no time for them , lots of people elderly and people with learning disabilities get hit quite frequently and its wrong
I’ve had the funeral plan one , I was absolutely seething and told them so 😡 Since my 50th birthday I’ve been inundated with mail from companies wanting to talk about my imminent death , that was twenty years ago and I’m still as healthy now as I was then ( as far as I know 🤞) What annoys me ,apart from the obvious is the waste , twenty years worth of letters binned unopened is a lot of waste paper 😡

They’re not bothered about people so doubt they care about the environment but you would think some authority could begin to seriously regulate junk mail given the state of the planet . All mine goes straight in the recycle bin which then has to be collected and processed using even more resources 🙄

I know , email and calls you can reject and report as spam but they still persist . It's not easy when you are trying to come to terms with things though processing extreme bad news takes time . Some are genuine it's the ones who just keep pushing for the sale
So you have these vultures even in idyllic Greece. Glad you gave them a piece of your mind.
