Yes, I have used it for a few years now. I didn't do well on Ventolin or any other short acting bronchodilator so my consultant suggested a long acting one and we came up with Formoterol Easyhaler twice a day.

I have COPD and mild bronchiectasis and I don't use a steroid inhaler, just Formoterol Easyhaler x2 and Spiriva x 1 daily. They work well for me and I've had no problems.

I don't know if it will replace your steroid inhaler. I've never been on one, my consultant said I'm not a candidate for a steroid inhaler but obviously some people do need them.

But are we talking about the same thing?

I use the one pictured above, Formoterol Easyhaler which is formoterol fumarate dihydrate.

There is also Budesonide/formoterol which is Symbicort and that is a steroid inhaler, the budesonide being the steroid along with formoterol fumarate dihydrate.

OK, so you've got the green one. Do you normally need a steroid inhaler and have you been told this will replace it? It wont do the same job if you need the steroid. I was given this as a long acting bronchodilator because I couldn't get on with the propellants in the metered dose short acting one.
