High white blood count

Hi all hope your keeping well. I wanted to ask if anyone else has WBC that fluctuates alot. The past 1year and half the Dr's have noted that mine keeps going up sometimes they choose to treat with antibiotics because of my symptoms. Usually it goes down but after a week or 2 it's back up again .

The bronchial Dr recently said that bronchectasis can raise wbc but usually only mildly up to 11 or 12 max but mine are over 18 reaching 30 at times.

It's confusing as they say it means my body is fighting infection but can I honestly be fighting all the time and is it healthy?

Mine r usually raised too.ive bronchiectasis ( among other probs).infection,allergies,inflammation etc can cause wbc to increase

Yes I have bronchectasis aswell among other things as well . 😊 I just wanted to know were you treated for it or just left it alone

No,not treated but check it periodically. I expect it to be up as have allergies + dont go long between infections + flareup.plus other body inflammation contributes to it.its more a sign confirming whats going on
