Blood test and steroids

Does anyone know if one had been on 30mg of steroids for 7 days and I’d dye to have a full blood test, is it best to wait? If so low long?

With the caveat that no one here is medically qualified to advise you, and you should always check anything with a doctor or other professional. My understanding is that it depends on what blood tests you’re having. Steroids can potentially effect a variety of commonly tested blood elements including, but not limited to, blood sugar, certain cells in the immune system (e.g. white cells, neutrophils), inflammatory markers like crp and esr, platelets, and things like potassium and calcium. If by full blood test you mean a full blood count, this will include measures of your white blood cells, neutrophils, eosinophils, and platelets, all of which could potentially be effected, but it also depends on why you’re having the test, which is why checking with a doctor or nurse would be best. That said, personally, if it’s only a short course of pred and the bloods could wait until I’d been off the steroids for three or four days, I would choose do to that.

Personally,if yr well enough to go4it,I would- unless it's for diabetic blood sugar levels as they'll be raised x
