I had mine some weeks ago. Appears much depends on area where you live. Well worth contacting local chemists. That is where I got mine done.

I've just had an appointment for next week. Hope you get one soon

Your docs are way behind! Take yourself to Boots or your local chemist where you can get it free.

Yes I had mine at Boots on the 18 September.

Booked mine in mid October for November 5th. Having it at the gp surgery

I ve had mine at my local Boots - the GP would have taken ages yet. Tesco’s are even doing them.

We’ve had ours Dilly, on 17th September. Hope you get your flu jab soon. Xxx

Had mine at Boots in October, hubby had his at local chemist - have a look in line, you’ll most likely be able to book somewhere, rather than wait for surgery

No but my Doctors are useless like most others

My surgery is hopeless, I go to a pharmacy for my Winter jabs, I don't have to pay. I have had my Winter jab this year with no contact from my surgery, had it on holiday, booked it online. I have had both my covid jabs, also booked online, also with no surgery involvement. I am booked in for my booster to morrow, booked online via the Government site.

For those still awaiting their booster jab;

The paragraph below is from the Gov.uk site, Link below;

nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...

I have booked mine for tomorrow, I don't have much faith in my local surgery ever sending me an invite.

If you have not received an invite but it's been 6 months and 1 week (190 days) since your 2nd dose, you can try to book your appointment online without an invite.

I have had mine but my Aunt who is 90, 18 years older than I am, lives in a different part of the country has not had hers yet. I think it does seem to be a bit of a Postcode Lottery. I think some of the chemists are doing them, why not give tham a try. Seems that some of the GP Practices don't seem to be getting the vaccine supplies, no idea why though. xx

Yes its a postcode lottery and a case of how efficient your surgery was in ordering. I had mine 4th Oct & covid booster on 15th. If I were you I'd get a kind person to take me to a Boots, pharmacy or big Tesco. You probably have to book. Good luck Dilly

I had mine some weeks ago, I can’t remember when. It seems like everyone says, a postcode lottery.

Hello Dilly. I book my flu jab in late August with the nearest Boots pharmacy. Its still free for you as they claim from the NHS. Its quick and easy. I booked as soon as I could on there website and got it on the 17th Septmeber. I do this every year as my GP doesnt call me untill Dec in the past. I am having my covid vac tomorrow 6months 5days after my 2nd Jab. Good luck.

Hi Dilly2

I had my flu vaccine 30 Sept at my local chemist and then booster at GP’s on Saturday.

My GP wanted to do both at same time and tbh didn’t really want to wait.

I did have to wait a week for my Flu vaccine as they needed to receive stock of the over 65’s version.

If you are mobile Dilly2 I’d certainly consider ringing round as worthwhile getting covered asap.

Good Luck!!

I had mine done some weeks ago when I had my B 12 injection so both arms were done 😁 next will be the booster jab on Tuesday

My local independent pharmacy does flu jabs for people who cannot yet get one arranged by their doctor. I booked one, but then my surgery gave me one sooner, at short notice! I’ve also had booster jab three weeks later, no problem with either thankfully. Good luck x

I am like a very well protected pincushion at the moment. Had flu, pneumonia, shingles and 3rd covid jabs. GP wrote to say that my CLL consultant had asked them to make sure I had all these. We went to local pharmacy for flu jabs.

We haven't had ours yet and no sign of it happening yet.

Hi everyone, I had my flu jab a few weeks ago from my doctors, but you can book it in chemist, Lloyd's, boots, superdrug etc. The records still go through to you doctors once done. Good luck.

I had it at the same time as my third primary jab just over a week ago. My GP surgery isn’t doing them on site this year, you have to go to the local vaccine hub when invited.

Hi Dilly, my GP practice sent me a message to say there was flu clinic on 2 dates in October and to ring and book. Had mine on Saturday.

I had my own last week. However with both flu and booster jabs being done it may be worth contacting your chemist as they may be able to assist you quicker.

I booked with a local pharmacist very early on .

Hi Dilly I have to say the NHS seems to me like a lottery postcode dip with all treatments luckily seems I'm in the top half of the draw with all treatment , had mine 3 week ago and my booster covid our Surgery seems on top of things for us vulnerable patients I know people from other surgeries who are still waiting seems strange when you can pop into Tesco and get it done free with no waiting .Take care

Hi

Please don't worry. My wife had hers about 6 weeks ago (she doesn't have any respiratory problems) and I just had mine just last week (severe COPD). Different GPs. My pharmacist could give the vaccine for £10.00 - the normal charge. She did, however, tell me that it wasn't as effective as that given by the surgery. I would suggest that you wait until your GP gets in touch.

Good luck

Kevin

I got mine yesterday along with the Pfizer booster, so I’ve got two sore arms, couldn’t lie on either side last night so I’m having a dressing gown day today.

I had mine on 18th September at Boots. Had to have the ‘oldies’ version as am now 66. Had my booster on 25/11/21

I have an face2face 20 minute appointment with the practice nurse on Thursday for a diabetes and copd check. All this after a 20minute appointment face2face with my GP a month ago for check up and medicine review . Then sent for blood tests too. Which all came back okay.

Hi Dilly2Yes. Had mine about 3 weeks ago. In tamworth we have a walk in centre in the town. I got mine at my local pharmacy which I use regularly. I didnt want the flu and covid top up on the same day, so took the initiative to get my flu jab a week prior to the top up.
