Yes Lala you can go to a pharmacy if you want to. See if anywhere nearby is doing the flu jab. Pete and l went to Boots in a town nearby. Our GP surgery and pharmacy weren’t offering jabs at that time so we went elsewhere. Hope you get your jab done very soon. Xxxx
Thank you I was told it had to be a pharmacist connected to my GP both my self and my husband have underlined health problems and I’m getting worried Now I will try today.
Some pharmacists in big supermarkets do them. An idea to have your nhs number with you to ensure they can register the correct details. NHS number is on your prescription. Its a bit shocking that your GP hasn't got it's act together now we're in the 2nd half of October. Makes me realise how efficient mine has been with 2 covid vaccinations, flu jab 3 weeks ago and covid booster last Friday. I'm sure my lot are organised as a preventive measure, they don't want 1000s of patients with covid or flu.
Good luck
Most chemist will give you it. I book online for Boots.
They seem really behind this year
I haven't heard anything either. Shan't be going anywhere for a while as daughter tested positive for covid this morning......
Lala136 I found out on Monday when I contacted the surgery, about an appointment for my 3 monthly B12 jab that they had flu clinics last week, I was told to phone today as they should be having clinics next week. I spent 30mins holding on but eventually got an appointment for next Thursday afternoon. I then phoned the chemist to check that they would be delivering our prescriptions this morning, I emailed the request on Saturday for me, and my husband. The chemist only had my prescription! This happened 2 months ago so I started ordering a bit early. Anyway I phoned the doctors again and they couldn't explain why it had happened but would put it through.as urgent. I phoned the chemist again and they.will orderly husbands tablets so they have them for tomorrow to deliver. My husband has Parkinsons so his meds are vital. Anyway the phone calls were an hour of my f life I won't get back!!
I
I have been to Boots for mine in the past. Husband goes to Morrisons pharmacy. I believe Tesco offer it too. All I do is tell Drs Surgery I have had one and they stop sending reminders.
I booked our flu jabs online with the Well pharmacy chain. We get ours next week.
