Quick update. Harefield have accepted me on their transplant list. So pleased to have hope again as Birmingham stopped all but severe emergency transplants, and have done since December.

I looked back at my forum post and couldn’t see your post and wonder if it’s a different group. I’m on “ Lung transplantation: taking flight with new life support group”

So pleased for you. All best wishes for you the next stages of your journey. It is not an easy journey but there are others here who have been on it, Caspiana has posted here about it with great insight. With her permission I have collated her pieces. They are beautiful, wise and underpinned by the gratitude to donors and their families.

Hi Mary, that’s fantastic news! I had my transplant at Harefield at end of 2018. The doctors and nurses there are amazing - you are in good hands. Best of luck with everything. Xx

I wish you well Mary. My husband has recently been accepted to the Wythenshawe Hospital transplant list. It's been a hard journey to get to this point and we were beginning to lose hope. This lifeline gives us renewed hope. Good luck and best wishes x
