8 and a half months post transplant

Lynnelovessunshine profile image

Dear all,

Apologies for lack of communication!!! These 8 and a half months have gone in a whirl and what with Covid it has been a very strange world!!!

My operation went well but I had a lot of problems and before Christmas, I was in Harefield more than I was at home!!!!

I had a further complication in the new year when they discovered!!!! On a CT scan even though I’d always told them about a lump in my chest!!! That my Sternum had not fused properly and on 31st March I had to have another operation to sort out all my wires!!! Currently it seems to be a success.

I did go back to ‘work’ after half term (February) but due to shielding until 31st March I could only do online activities!!! Then I had my operation but luckily that was the start of the Easter holidays! So I’ve only missed this week although I did go in Friday afternoon to see my class 😊and I start back, initially only for Thursdays and Fridays on the 29th 😊😊😊😊 xx

I still get breathless but not anxious because I now know it is poor breathing technique and lack of fitness rather tha ‘dodgy’ lungs xx

I hope everyone on here is well and enjoying the sunshine xx

Love and hugs to all ❤️💞❤️🌸❤️💞❤️

Good Morning Hun, so Happy your improving. I do envy all Transplant Warriors, I, never got mine, but I have lived longer than expected even to get almost through the Pandemic . I made an Achievement this Morning, I had a Shower instead of a Bed Bath, which has been my normal for months whilst I am with Palliative out care Nurses, so I am well pleased. Now to plan for Hubby to take me for a walk out in wheelchair. Today is a Good Day for Both of us Hun. Love n hugs. Enjoy your Wonderful Future Xxx 😘💖😘☀️Carolina.

What a lovely, uplifting post! I can't believe that after such a relatively short recovery time you are planning to go back to work. I'm sending you my very best wishes that all will go as you hope and you'll be back 'out there' on 29th. xx Moy
