I think somebody can explain me about what to expect having severe or very severe Copd. Even I am not diagnosed still I have problems with walking or something. I just walk around the buildings near my home and half a year dont go to buy food. A year ago I did not read about this and I lived independent life till now and worked. Now my mother helps me with shoping and making food.I now need help with this . I am so scared I dont want to go to care home and I need to know can I still live alone in future. I want to have family and child but sometimes I think how will I care about them . I want to have child even if I think I have severe Copd.

Hi and welcome, I think you should go and talk to your GP as this needs to be explained professionally. You also need to be certain you have COPD. We can support you on this site and help but not give medical advice. Hope this helps and you get your answers, please keep posting and let us know how you get on. Have a good day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx

Without wishing to sound brutal it is imperative that you seek a diagnosis of your health problems. Find out exactly what is wrong with you. Shout as loud as is necessary to get help. Copd is definitely not a life sentence and exercise is most important as is a positive attitude. You give no indication of age but many oldies live a long worthwhile life with lunng problems. Do not despair. Plenty of advice on here. Keep us updated.

You do not mention any symptoms of why you think you have COPD only that you are not able to walk or prepare food for yourself (any number of health issues may be the result of this)

As mentioned previously you need to discuss your symptoms with your doctor. You may have a health issue going on entirely unrelated to COPD. You could have an illness that with the correct treatment your mobility may well improve this can only happen if you seek professional medical advice from your doctor/s.

Take care of YOU, do the right thing for yourself and seek professional help from your own local doctors.

Best wishes

BK

Hello Sandrute2, I remember you posting before about your health problems. Does walking cause you breathlessness or pain? You really need a proper diagnosis and will hopefully get the help you need.

Sending good wishes to you. Xx

Speak to your doctor, get to see a consultant and read the posts here. You can live well if you get fitter, eat well and don’t smoke. Many doctors say you don’t die from COPD, but with it! Take care. And why have a child? Get a dog or cat - much cheaper! 😉😁x

I want to have a child but dont know how long will I live. Dreaming about child makes me very happy and I think my family members will help to care. I think I want to know how long will I live and do I have time for child to born. The doctors did not help me. They telling me thay it is anxiety or depression. So I have to go to other town to see other doctors even I am very weak.
